Caring for an Anxious Child
Anxiety can be very unsettling for an adult, never mind a child. There are lots of ways parents and carers can help their children with anxiety. Many children and young people really don’t know what they are feeling when they are anxious, and it can be very frightening and overwhelming. They might think they are very ill or even that they are having a heart attack.
We will look at how to talk to your child about what anxiety is and about what is happening in their body and why. Understanding what is going on, what it is called, and why it happens, can really help. This webinar will look at how through the parent/carer child relationship, the child can once again find stillness within themselves.
The webinar will be available for all NAME employees to watch from DATE and will remain available for 30 days.
In addition to the webinar, we have created a useful handout which you can print out and refer back to. In this handout, we cover some of the key points in our presentation.
